With the wave of social networking taking a strong foothold, CherokeeVillageAR.net has jumped in.

As always, like this forum, it is and will be a work in progress as time permits. Here is what I have started so far. The goal of showing Cherokee Village to the world in a positive light and getting the word out about this forum will continue.

Hi Mike, Great idea to get the word out. Social networking is taking off in all areas. The more folks see our information the better. I have not twittered yet, but its only a matter of time. Good Job!

The upcoming generation of internet applications is named Web 2.0, and it has promised new ways to connect with people and organizations using the internet. What started out as a way for the younger crowd to connect online, these social networking services have now taken the business world by storm and are rapidly becoming standard technology applications among many businesses, clubs, organizations, and business people wanting to broaden their professional networking base. Knowing about them, knowing which ones are worth the effort, and knowing how to maximize their returns are three distinctly different things. I have been researching these for my business life, my personal networking, and for this forum.

Literally, just a few months ago, I thought the idea of messing around with these social networking sites was childish, and strictly for the teenage and 20 something crowd. I have changed my tune on that and have been proven wrong.

I have now seen how it works in the business environment, and so now I have decided to further market this forum using these mediums. We'll see how it goes. It can't hurt.

I see the mayor of Hardy is following you on the Twitter. This concept is intriguing.
