Sharp County Extension Homemakers will have their annual bazaar/flea market/bake sale/lunch on 11/21/09 at the Hardy Gym from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
There will be something for everyone, and the bake sale and lunch offered are outstanding.
This year they are co-sponsoring along with University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences "Spit for the Cure" a special breast cancer research event. There are no fees involved and is by volunteer only. UAMS is looking for 40,000 women age 18 and over to participate. Any woman who has had cancer or is being treated for cancer at the present time can participate. The study is non-invasive and easy to participate, just deposit a saliva sample, and then answer a short questionnaire. All information will be kept confidential.
So ladies, come to the bazaar, shop, have lunch, and volunteer.
We are glad to help get the word out about this very important event.
